Cookie Policy.

This policy explains how Fleet Livery Group uses cookies and similar technologies on fleetliverygroup.co.uk, what each one does, and how you can accept, reject or change your choices at any time.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device when you visit. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in much the same way and are covered by this policy too.

They help websites work properly, remember your choices and, with your permission, show how the website is used and measure how well advertising performs.

Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies). Others are set by trusted services we use, such as our payment providers, Google and Meta (third-party cookies).

How We Use Cookies.

We use cookies and similar technologies for three reasons.

Essential: to run the website, keep your basket, take secure payments and remember your cookie choices. These are always on, because the site cannot work without them.

Marketing: to understand which of our Facebook and Instagram adverts lead to orders, so we can show our adverts to the right people. These only run if you say yes.

Analytics: to understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are viewed and how people find us, so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics, provided by Google, for this. Analytics cookies are only set if you say yes. If you don’t, Google only receives basic signals that don’t use cookies and don’t identify you.

Google Analytics tells us things like the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, your approximate location (town or region, not your exact address) and the website or advert you came from. Google uses this information in line with its own privacy policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

We do not currently use personalisation cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

We never use cookies to collect your payment card details. Card payments are handled securely by Stripe and PayPal.

Essential Cookies.

Essential cookies make the website work. Under UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) we don’t need your consent to use them, but we still want you to know what they are.

Without them, you wouldn’t be able to add items to your basket, check out securely or have your cookie choices remembered.

We use essential cookies and storage to:

  • Keep the items and options in your basket as you move around the site
  • Take payments securely and help prevent fraud (Stripe and PayPal)
  • Remember whether you have accepted or rejected cookies

Essential cookies can’t be switched off in our cookie settings. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site, including checkout, may stop working.

Marketing Cookies.

We use the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms, the company behind Facebook and Instagram.

It tells us when someone who has seen or clicked one of our adverts visits our website or places an order. This helps us measure our advertising and show our adverts to people who are more likely to be interested.

Meta may receive information such as the pages you visit, actions you take (for example, placing an order), your device and browser type, and your IP address. The Meta Pixel also stores _fbc, multiFbc, lastExternalReferrer and lastExternalReferrerTime in your browser to record which advert or website you came from. When you place an order, we also send the order value and your email and postcode, in a scrambled (hashed) form, directly to Meta so we can measure which adverts lead to sales.

The Meta Pixel only runs in your browser if you accept marketing cookies in our cookie banner. If you reject them, or haven’t made a choice yet, the Pixel does not run and no Meta cookies are set on your device.

Meta uses this information in line with its own privacy policy, which you can read at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

You can withdraw your consent at any time. See Managing Your Choices below.

Managing Your Choices.

When you first visit our website, our cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. Nothing non-essential runs until you choose.

You can change your mind at any time using the button below, or the round cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of any page.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site, such as checkout, from working. We may update this policy from time to time, and the latest version will always be on this page.
